UX Designer - research and testing (remote)

Harborlight Vale Medical builds devices used by hospitals and clinics, with its team based in Sacramento, and we need a UX Designer to lead our research and testing. You would join a small organisation of about 13 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Design for tasks around device records that people do under time pressure. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Background in device records. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Sacramento. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
