UX Designer - research and testing (remote)

We are growing our team at Fernwood River Markets Partners and adding a UX Designer whose main responsibility will be research and testing. We are friendly and busy, especially on weekends. What you will do • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Design for tasks around promotions that people do under time pressure. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in promotions. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Boston. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
