UX Designer - research and testing (remote)

Fernwood Granite Markets serves neighbourhoods around Boston with fresh food and everyday goods, and we need a UX Designer to lead our research and testing. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Design for tasks around online orders that people do under time pressure. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Background in online orders. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Boston. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
