UX Designer - research and testing (remote)

Bluepeak Harbor Arts Center is looking for a UX Designer. The job centres on research and testing for visitor services, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 49 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Design for tasks around visitor services that people do under time pressure. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in visitor services. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Nashville. • We reply to every applicant.
