UX Designer - research and testing (remote)

Summit Markets serves neighbourhoods around Virginia Beach with fresh food and everyday goods. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on research and testing. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Design for tasks around store inventory that people do under time pressure. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Background in store inventory. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Virginia Beach. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
