UX Designer - research and testing (Providence, RI)

We are growing our team at Stonegate Haven Early Learning Group and adding a UX Designer whose main responsibility will be research and testing. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Providence. What you will do • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Design for tasks around classroom supplies that people do under time pressure. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in classroom supplies. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Providence. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
