UX Designer - research and testing (Providence, RI)

Fernwood Beacon Financial is a financial-services company in Providence, and we need a UX Designer to lead our research and testing. Trust is the product, so accuracy and clarity matter. What you will do • Design for tasks around regulatory reports that people do under time pressure. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Background in regulatory reports. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Providence. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
