UX Designer - research and testing (Pittsburgh, PA)

We are growing our team at Amberfield Keystone Arts Center and adding a UX Designer whose main responsibility will be research and testing. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Pittsburgh. What you will do • Design for tasks around event logistics that people do under time pressure. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in event logistics. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Pittsburgh. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
