UX Designer - research and testing (Oakland, CA)

Cedar Mill Transit Planning is a transit-planning firm in Oakland working with agencies and riders, and we need a UX Designer to lead our research and testing. You would join a small organisation of about 28 people based in Oakland. What you will do • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Background in survey data. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Oakland. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
