UX Designer - research and testing (Oakland, CA)

Lumen Meadow Insurance is an insurance company in Oakland with claims and service teams, and we need a UX Designer to lead our research and testing. You would join a large organisation of about 203 people based in Oakland. What you will do • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Design for tasks around claims that people do under time pressure. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in claims. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Oakland. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
