UX Designer - research and testing (Oakland, CA)

Northwind Yarrow Health is looking for a UX Designer. The job centres on research and testing for electronic records, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Design for tasks around electronic records that people do under time pressure. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in electronic records. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Oakland. • We reply to every applicant.
