UX Designer - research and testing (New Orleans, LA)

Northwind Clear Arts Center is a cultural organisation in New Orleans presenting exhibitions and performances, and we need a UX Designer to lead our research and testing. You would join a small organisation of about 101 people based in New Orleans. What you will do • Design for tasks around ticketing that people do under time pressure. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Background in ticketing. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in New Orleans. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
