UX Designer - research and testing (Minneapolis, MN)

We are growing our team at Fernwood Lantern Community Partners Group and adding a UX Designer whose main responsibility will be research and testing. Flexibility and kindness are expected. What you will do • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Design for tasks around benefits enrolment that people do under time pressure. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in benefits enrolment. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Minneapolis. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
