UX Designer - research and testing (Milwaukee, WI)

Bright Meadow Press produces print and digital publications in Milwaukee, and we need a UX Designer to lead our research and testing. Many of us have been here for ten years or more. What you will do • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Design for tasks around bindery work that people do under time pressure. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in bindery work. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Milwaukee. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
