UX Designer - research and testing (Milwaukee, WI)

Nova Maple Press is a printer and publisher in Milwaukee serving local and national clients, and we need a UX Designer to lead our research and testing. We like people who notice details. What you will do • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Design for tasks around paper stock that people do under time pressure. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Background in paper stock. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Milwaukee. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
