UX Designer - research and testing (Milwaukee, WI)

Bright Fox Insurance is looking for a UX Designer. The job centres on research and testing for underwriting files, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We invest in training for new adjusters. What you will do • Design for tasks around underwriting files that people do under time pressure. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Background in underwriting files. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Milwaukee. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
