UX Designer - research and testing (Madison, WI)

Rivermark Clear Transit Planning is looking for a UX Designer. The job centres on research and testing for accessibility audits, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We like people who ride the bus and notice when things do not work. What you will do • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Design for tasks around accessibility audits that people do under time pressure. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Background in accessibility audits. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Madison. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
