UX Designer - research and testing (Madison, WI)

Highbridge Lakeside Arts Center is a cultural organisation in Madison presenting exhibitions and performances, and we need a UX Designer to lead our research and testing. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Design for tasks around ticketing that people do under time pressure. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Background in ticketing. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Madison. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
