UX Designer - research and testing (Louisville, KY)

Summit Hollow Arts Center is looking for a UX Designer. The job centres on research and testing for exhibitions, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 48 people based in Louisville. What you will do • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Design for tasks around exhibitions that people do under time pressure. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in exhibitions. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Louisville. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
