UX Designer - research and testing (Louisville, KY)

We are growing our team at Summit Hollow Arts Center and adding a UX Designer whose main responsibility will be research and testing. Everyone pitches in on show days. What you will do • Design for tasks around school partnerships that people do under time pressure. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Background in school partnerships. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Louisville. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
