UX Designer - research and testing (Las Vegas, NV)

Northwind Cobalt Insurance Group sells home, auto and small-business insurance in Las Vegas, and we need a UX Designer to lead our research and testing. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Design for tasks around premium billing that people do under time pressure. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in premium billing. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Las Vegas. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
