UX Designer - research and testing (Las Vegas, NV)

Redstone Sparrow Transit Planning Group is a transit-planning firm in Las Vegas working with agencies and riders, and we need a UX Designer to lead our research and testing. We like people who ride the bus and notice when things do not work. What you will do • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Design for tasks around fare systems that people do under time pressure. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in fare systems. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Las Vegas. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
