UX Designer - research and testing (Jackson, MS)

Greenridge Thistle Early Learning Group is looking for a UX Designer. The job centres on research and testing for tuition and subsidies, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Design for tasks around tuition and subsidies that people do under time pressure. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in tuition and subsidies. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Jackson. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
