UX Designer - research and testing (Jackson, MS)

Foxglove Harbor Arts Center is looking for a UX Designer. The job centres on research and testing for volunteer programmes, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Everyone pitches in on show days. What you will do • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Background in volunteer programmes. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Jackson, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
