UX Designer - research and testing (Houston, TX)

Amberfield Timber Learning Group operates schools and learning programmes around Houston, and we need a UX Designer to lead our research and testing. We follow the school calendar and we like people who like learning. What you will do • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Design for tasks around student accounts that people do under time pressure. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in student accounts. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Houston. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
