UX Designer - research and testing (Houston, TX)

Fernwood Vale Financial serves customers across Houston with accounts, loans and payments. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on research and testing. Trust is the product, so accuracy and clarity matter. What you will do • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Design for tasks around account servicing that people do under time pressure. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Background in account servicing. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Houston. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
