UX Designer - research and testing (Honolulu, HI)

Amberfield Kestrel Community Partners is looking for a UX Designer. The job centres on research and testing for volunteer shifts, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Design for tasks around volunteer shifts that people do under time pressure. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in volunteer shifts. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Honolulu. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
