UX Designer - research and testing (Honolulu, HI)

Amberfield Press is looking for a UX Designer. The job centres on research and testing for press runs, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Design for tasks around press runs that people do under time pressure. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Background in press runs. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Honolulu. • We reply to every applicant.
