UX Designer - research and testing (Hartford, CT)

We are growing our team at Redstone Kestrel Press and adding a UX Designer whose main responsibility will be research and testing. You would join a small organisation of about 111 people based in Hartford. What you will do • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Design for tasks around paper stock that people do under time pressure. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Background in paper stock. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Hartford, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
