UX Designer - research and testing (Grand Rapids, MI)

Nova Haven Learning Group runs classrooms and tutoring across the Grand Rapids area. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on research and testing. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Grand Rapids. What you will do • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Design for tasks around student accounts that people do under time pressure. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Background in student accounts. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Grand Rapids. • We reply to every applicant.
