UX Designer - research and testing (Fresno, CA)

Harborlight Lakeside Arts Center Group is looking for a UX Designer. The job centres on research and testing for visitor services, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Design for tasks around visitor services that people do under time pressure. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Background in visitor services. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Fresno. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
