UX Designer - research and testing (El Paso, TX)

Ironwood Sparrow Transit Planning helps transport agencies around El Paso design routes and schedules, and we need a UX Designer to lead our research and testing. We value plain explanations. What you will do • Design for tasks around survey data that people do under time pressure. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in survey data. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in El Paso, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
