UX Designer - research and testing (El Paso, TX)

Northwind Wilder Markets is looking for a UX Designer. The job centres on research and testing for store inventory, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We are friendly and busy, especially on weekends. What you will do • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Design for tasks around store inventory that people do under time pressure. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Background in store inventory. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in El Paso. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
