UX Designer - research and testing (Detroit, MI)

We are growing our team at Harborlight Cedar Banking Services and adding a UX Designer whose main responsibility will be research and testing. You would join a small organisation of about 101 people based in Detroit. What you will do • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Design for tasks around account openings that people do under time pressure. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Background in account openings. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Detroit. • We reply to every applicant.
