UX Designer - research and testing (Detroit, MI)

Bright Quill Banking Services provides everyday banking and small-business lending around Detroit, and we need a UX Designer to lead our research and testing. You would join a small organisation of about 191 people based in Detroit. What you will do • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Design for tasks around branch operations that people do under time pressure. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Background in branch operations. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Detroit. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
