UX Designer - research and testing (Detroit, MI)

Bright Wilder Insurance Group provides coverage to households and businesses around Detroit. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on research and testing. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Detroit. What you will do • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Design for tasks around catastrophe response that people do under time pressure. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in catastrophe response. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Detroit, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
