UX Designer - research and testing (Detroit, MI)

Bluepeak Summit Early Learning runs childcare centres in Detroit caring for infants, toddlers and preschoolers. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on research and testing. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Design for tasks around meal programmes that people do under time pressure. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in meal programmes. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Detroit. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
