UX Designer - research and testing (Des Moines, IA)

We are growing our team at Lumen Ridge Insurance and adding a UX Designer whose main responsibility will be research and testing. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Des Moines. What you will do • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Design for tasks around underwriting files that people do under time pressure. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Background in underwriting files. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Des Moines. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
