UX Designer - research and testing (Des Moines, IA)

We are growing our team at Lumen Cobalt Early Learning and adding a UX Designer whose main responsibility will be research and testing. You would join a small organisation of about 117 people based in Des Moines. What you will do • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Background in classroom supplies. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Des Moines. • We reply to every applicant.
