UX Designer - research and testing (Des Moines, IA)

Summit Rook Press prints books, catalogues and packaging from its Des Moines plant, and we need a UX Designer to lead our research and testing. Many of us have been here for ten years or more. What you will do • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Design for tasks around proofing that people do under time pressure. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Background in proofing. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Des Moines. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
