UX Designer - research and testing (Des Moines, IA)

We are growing our team at Cedar Loom Insurance and adding a UX Designer whose main responsibility will be research and testing. We invest in training for new adjusters. What you will do • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Design for tasks around underwriting files that people do under time pressure. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in underwriting files. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Des Moines. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
