UX Designer - research and testing (Cincinnati, OH)

Ironwood Kestrel Early Learning is an early-learning provider in Cincinnati. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on research and testing. Low staff turnover is a goal we take seriously. What you will do • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Design for tasks around tuition and subsidies that people do under time pressure. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in tuition and subsidies. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Cincinnati, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
