UX Designer - research and testing (Chicago, IL)

Amberfield Sable Community Partners Group is a Chicago charity working with residents on basic needs and opportunity, and we need a UX Designer to lead our research and testing. You would join a small organisation of about 124 people based in Chicago. What you will do • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Design for tasks around volunteer shifts that people do under time pressure. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in volunteer shifts. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Chicago. • We reply to every applicant.
