UX Designer - research and testing (Chicago, IL)

We are growing our team at Northwind Oak Banking Services and adding a UX Designer whose main responsibility will be research and testing. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Chicago. What you will do • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Design for tasks around deposit accounts that people do under time pressure. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Background in deposit accounts. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Chicago. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
