UX Designer - research and testing (Charlotte, NC)

We are growing our team at Greenridge Birch Transit Planning and adding a UX Designer whose main responsibility will be research and testing. Work is collaborative and map-heavy. What you will do • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Design for tasks around survey data that people do under time pressure. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Background in survey data. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Charlotte. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
