UX Designer - research and testing (Charlotte, NC)

Lumen Quill Arts Center is looking for a UX Designer. The job centres on research and testing for school partnerships, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 114 people based in Charlotte. What you will do • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Design for tasks around school partnerships that people do under time pressure. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Background in school partnerships. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Charlotte, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
