UX Designer - research and testing (Charlotte, NC)

Nova Lakeside Arts Center runs a venue and education programmes in Charlotte. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on research and testing. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Design for tasks around visitor services that people do under time pressure. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Background in visitor services. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Charlotte. • We reply to every applicant.
