UX Designer - research and testing (Charleston, SC)

Fernwood Cedar Banking Services provides everyday banking and small-business lending around Charleston. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on research and testing. Most people here started in a branch and stayed. What you will do • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Design for tasks around account openings that people do under time pressure. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in account openings. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Charleston. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
