UX Designer - research and testing (Boston, MA)

We are growing our team at Bright Stone Transit Planning Group and adding a UX Designer whose main responsibility will be research and testing. We like people who ride the bus and notice when things do not work. What you will do • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Design for tasks around service alerts that people do under time pressure. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Background in service alerts. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Boston. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
