UX Designer - research and testing (Birmingham, AL)

Stonegate Fox Insurance Group provides coverage to households and businesses around Birmingham, and we need a UX Designer to lead our research and testing. We care about how people feel on the worst day of their year. What you will do • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Background in underwriting files. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Birmingham. • We reply to every applicant.
